Anita McAllister, Owner of Tumbleweed Travel, has been an entrepreneur for as long as she can remember. Starting early while
still in high school, Anita worked in various accounting positions, hospital billing
departments and accounts receivable. She continued after high school working for two CPA firms and then in 1980 began her own bookkeeping service. Her love for travel and helping others drove her into the travel industry in March of 1997. Anita’s accounting experience has carried over into her travel business bringing a strong business sense along with dedication in providing the best possible service and care to her clients. Anita has attended educational events both locally and nationally in the travel industry since 1997. She earned Certified Travel Associate certification from The Travel Institute in 1999. The following year, she successfully earned the Accredited Cruise Counselor title through
Cruise Line International Association. Anita’s focus has been on her education and her personal travels to the locations where she sends her valued clients.
Over the past 13 years, Anita has assisted well over 200 engaged couples plan their destination weddings and honeymoons to all corners of Mexico, many of the Caribbean Islands, The Hawaiian Islands, Costa Rica, and Tahiti.
She also assists families, couples and singles to plan vacations both on land and at sea.
You can also find Anita horseback riding and showing as well as being involved in dog agility and obedience training. She is Co-Founder of Animal Rescue Connection, Inc. Anita has two horses, a dog and two cats of her
own.

Robert Meute helps people experience other cultures and destinations all over the world. He offers full-service, customized Costa Rica bookings where he can book hotels, transfers and tours for all his clients. Robert enjoys offering his clients experiences that they have not had before and that they could not find on their own: like dining in an authentic home in India with a family to see how they cook, how they interact with their peers and within their families. He also has the priviledge of working closely with a foundation in India that offers his clients the ability to interact with the children in orphanages. Robert’s clients can participate in activities with the children and assist with light maintenance and repairs of the facility. Robert also specializes in areas that other industry professionals may not have as much experience in like India, Africa, South East Asia, Costa Rica, and Europe. He loves to offer travel suggestions to those who want to experience Europe and wine tasting. He can offer private tours to The House of Lords in London for qualified clients.
Robert also loves to offer clients more adventure as in zip lining in Costa Rica and white water rafting. He does a lot of easy getaways to warm destinations like the Riviera Maya, St. Lucia and Antigua with spa and relaxation in mind. He has extensive knowledge of New York and Los Angeles with his own selection of preferred restaurants, museums and shows that are for those seeking more of an in-depth experience in these destinations. He has a lot to offer people who are empty nesters and wanting to have new and different experiences. He works with all age groups and activity levels and can match the person with the right experience. He customizes everyone’s dream vacations. “Working with couples on their honeymoon, and groups celebrating special occasions are one of the best leads for me.”
Robert’s clients know that he will find them things that they would not be able to get on their own. He is also totally accessible to his clients while they are traveling. He works within his clients’ budgets and has an extensive list of preferred partners that go above and beyond for his clients. He makes sure his clients have all the details of their trip. Through e-mails or regular mail, he will send out a pre-packet that includes weather related information for a client’s destination plus things to do, things to pack, activities, restaurants and various show options.
